INVESTITURE CEREMONY
The Investiture Ceremony and the Inauguration of Clubs, the principal celebration at P.N.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya School was held on 24th July 2023.The Chief Guest awarded the badges of honour to the elected student council. The elected members of the student council then took the oath, led by the School Pupil leader.
NAVRATRI
Navratri, meaning "nine nights," is a vibrant Hindu festival celebrating the divine feminine energy and the triumph of good over evil. It's a time of devotion, dance, and cultural exuberance, especially during the festival of Durga Puja, which falls around October. People worship the nine forms of Goddess Durga, observe fasts, and gather for traditional dances like Garba and Dandiya.

ANNUAL DAY
The annual function is one of the most exciting events in our school. It is a day filled with joy, fun, and celebration, where students, teachers, and parents come together. This year, our annual function was celebrated with great enthusiasm.

CHRISTMAS

PONGAL CELEBERATION
Pongal, a prominent harvest festival in Tamil Nadu, is celebrated for four days in mid-January, marking the start of the Tamil month of Thai. It's a time of gratitude for a bountiful harvest and the Sun God, Surya. The festival begins with Bhogi, followed by Thai Pongal
REPUBLIC DAY
Republic Day is a significant milestone in India's history, symbolizing the country's transition into a sovereign, democratic republic. The adoption of the Constitution on this day established a framework for governance, ensuring equality, liberty, and justice for all citizens. The celebration of Republic Day is a reminder of the importance of upholding these values and contributing to the nation's progress.
CHILDREN'S DAY
In India, Children’s Day is celebrated on 14th November every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of our first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He loved children dearly and is fondly remembered as Chacha Nehru by them. After his death in 1964, his birthday was declared as Children’s Day nationwide.
DIWALI
Diwali, often referred to as the "Festival of Lights," is a celebration that transcends borders and beliefs, illuminating the hearts and homes of millions worldwide. This significant Hindu festival symbolizes the eternal victory of light over darkness and good over evil. Diwali spans five days, each with its unique customs, traditions, and a profound message. Beyond the festivities, Diwali holds a deep spiritual significance, with prayers dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, the embodiment of wealth and prosperity. At its core, Diwali inspires unity, forgiveness, and renewal, encouraging us all to spread happiness, love, and positivity in our lives and the world at large.

Project Day is a dedicated time for students to engage in project-based learning, allowing them to explore topics in depth, develop research and teamwork skills, and showcase their creativity. It provides a break from traditional classroom settings, fostering a love for learning through hands-on activities and independent exploration. Project Day also encourages students to develop essential skills like time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving

KAMARAJAR DAY
Kamarajar Day, also known as Education Development Day, is celebrated on July 15th in Tamil Nadu to commemorate the birth anniversary of the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, K. Kamaraj. Kamaraj is revered for his contributions to education, including the introduction of free education for children and the expansion of the Midday Meal Scheme, which significantly boosted school enrollment and literacy rates.
ONAM
Onam is an annual Hindu festival, which usually falls between August – September, and is celebrated for ten days. In India’s southern state of Kerala, Onam is considered the state festival.The festival is a ten-day affair, with each day holding its own significance. Festivities include traditional dances like Kathakali and Pulikali, boat races (Vallam Kali), and various other cultural programs.








TEACHERS DAY
Teachers' Day is a day to acknowledge their vital role in shaping future generations and express gratitude for their guidance and mentorship. This day also marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a renowned scholar and former President of India, who greatly valued education and teachers.
KG CONVOCATION
A KG convocation marks the completion of kindergarten, symbolizing a child's first step into formal education. It's a ceremony celebrating their achievements, growth, and the end of their pre-primary learning journey. This milestone is often celebrated with a formal ceremony including certificate distribution, performances, speeches, and memorable photos. It's a special occasion for both the child and their parents, acknowledging their progress and preparing them for the next stage of schooling.
